About Dia
Dia is a Chromium-based browser from The Browser Company, the team that made Arc, now owned by Atlassian. It keeps Arc's best-loved ideas, such as a sidebar with vertical tabs, profiles, pinned tabs, tab groups and split view, but adds AI throughout. You can ask questions about open tabs, have it draft or rewrite text, connect it to work tools, and set up reusable skills. The AI is optional, and the basic browser without AI features is free; paid plans unlock AI chat and heavier usage. Sync is end-to-end encrypted, and the company says browsing data is not sold or used to build ad profiles. It disables several Google account features of Chromium and runs on a fast update cycle. Because Arc is being retired, Dia offers one-click import of Arc data. It runs on macOS and Windows. It suits former Arc users and knowledge workers who want AI built into their everyday browser.
Best for: Former Arc users and knowledge workers who want AI built into their browser.
