About Remmina
Remmina is the go-to remote desktop client on many Linux desktops. Rather than running its own service, it connects to existing servers using plugins for RDP, VNC, SPICE, SSH, X2Go and web (HTTP/HTTPS) connections, so one app can reach Windows PCs, Linux servers and virtual machines. You save connection profiles with their settings, organise them into groups, and open several sessions in tabs, with options like multi-monitor, kiosk mode, SSH tunnelling and shared folders. It is free, copyleft software, translated into dozens of languages and packaged by more than 50 Linux distributions, as well as Flatpak and Snap. Remmina is a client only: it doesn't help you set up the far end or traverse firewalls, and it doesn't run on Windows or macOS. For Linux users who regularly connect to many machines, it is the natural first choice.
Best for: Linux users who connect to RDP, VNC or SSH machines and want one client for all of them.
