About SafeInCloud

SafeInCloud, now branded in its apps as Safe, is a password manager that never keeps your vault on its own servers. Instead, the encrypted database lives on your devices and is backed up and synced through a cloud account you already have: Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive or any WebDAV server, including a home NAS, or it can stay fully offline. It runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. Beyond passwords it stores passkeys, cards, notes and document scans, generates 2FA codes, checks accounts against known breaches using Have I Been Pwned, and supports multiple vaults that can be shared with family or colleagues. Encryption uses AES-256 with PBKDF2. The app is free to download with premium features unlocked by a subscription or a one-time lifetime licence, and a family licence covers six people; there is a 14-day free trial of premium.

Best for: People who want a cross-platform manager that syncs through their own cloud and avoids subscriptions.
