About Screens
Screens is a remote desktop client from Canadian developer Edovia, built only for Apple devices. It connects to Macs using the built-in Screen Sharing, and to Windows PCs, Linux machines and Raspberry Pi boards that run a VNC server. The companion Screens Connect app on a Mac handles remote access over the internet without router configuration. Its strengths are design and touch input: it feels at home on an iPad with a trackpad or keyboard, supports multiple displays, curtain mode and file transfer, and runs on Apple Vision Pro. A subscription covers all of your Apple devices, and you can try it free for seven days. Because it uses the VNC (RFB) protocol, it can't send audio from the remote computer, and Windows or Linux targets need you to install and secure a VNC server yourself. It suits Apple users who mostly reach their own Macs.
Best for: Apple users who want a well-designed client for reaching their own Macs and VNC machines.
