About Sequel Ace

Sequel Ace is a free and open-source MySQL and MariaDB client for macOS, maintained by volunteers. It began as a continuation of Sequel Pro, a much-loved Mac app that stopped being updated, and keeps its simple layout: a list of tables, a content view for browsing and editing rows with filters, a structure editor for columns and indexes, a query editor with autocomplete and history, user management, and import and export. It can import saved connections from Sequel Pro, opens mysql:// URLs, and supports SSH tunnels and SSL. It requires a recent macOS on Intel or Apple Silicon and supports MySQL 5.7 or later and MariaDB 10.0 or later. It is distributed through the Mac App Store for free, with an unofficial Homebrew cask. There is no support for PostgreSQL or other databases, and features arrive slowly, but for Mac users who live in MySQL it is the obvious free choice.

Best for: Mac users who work with MySQL or MariaDB and want a free native app.
