About Skrill
Skrill is an online wallet run by Paysafe, the company that also owns Neteller and paysafecard. People load money into a Skrill balance by card, bank transfer or local payment methods, then use it to pay at online merchants without sharing card details, send money to other Skrill users, transfer to bank accounts abroad through Skrill Money Transfer, or buy and sell crypto. It is especially common with online gambling sites, forex brokers and gaming services, which accept Skrill deposits and withdrawals. A loyalty programme called Knect and VIP account levels lower some fees for heavy users. Opening an account is free and paying merchants or receiving money carries no transaction fee, but most other moves cost something: deposits by some methods, withdrawals, wallet-to-wallet sends, a sizeable currency conversion fee, and a monthly service fee if the account sits unused for six months. It runs on the web and on iOS and Android apps.
Best for: People paying betting, forex or gaming sites that accept e-wallet deposits and withdrawals.
