About Soundslice

Soundslice is a browser-based platform for learning, teaching and writing music with notation and tab. Its player shows a score synced to a real recording or YouTube video, so clicking a note jumps to that moment, and you can loop sections, slow audio without changing pitch and transpose. The built-in editor writes standard notation and guitar tab, imports MusicXML and Guitar Pro files, and can scan PDFs or photos of sheet music into editable scores. Everything is saved in the cloud and works on phones, tablets and computers without installing anything. The free plan allows unlimited slices with YouTube sync and a small number of scans; paid Plus adds MP3 and video uploads, printing, export and secret-link sharing, while Teacher and Licensing plans add private courses and embedding for music schools. Compared with Guitar Pro, its playback sounds are basic and it needs a browser and an internet connection, but it is much stronger for practising along with real performances.

Best for: Guitarists and teachers who want tabs synced with real recordings for practice and lessons.
