About Tonfotos

Tonfotos is a desktop photo organiser built around family archives. It scans your folders, sorts photos by years and dates, finds duplicates to free up space, and uses face recognition to group people, which you can then arrange into a family tree. A companion app, TonfotosSync, brings photos over from phones. Everything stays on your computer or drives, with no mandatory cloud and no monthly fee. A free version is available with restrictions, and paid licences are one-time and valid for lifetime use, with options for a single user or more devices. It runs on Windows and macOS. Tonfotos is a small product compared with digiKam or Mylio, with simpler editing and fewer metadata tools, but its interface is calm and easy for people who just want to sort decades of family photos.

Best for: Families organising decades of photos on a home computer.
