About Vienna
Vienna is a long-lived native feed reader for the Mac that supports RSS, Atom and JSON Feed. It was started by Steve Palmer and is now developed by a group of volunteers on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 licence. It offers the classic three-pane layout with folders, smart folders based on search criteria, article filters, a built-in browser with tabs, custom article styles and plug-ins for sending articles to other services. You can read feeds locally or sync with services that support the Open Reader or Google Reader-style APIs, such as The Old Reader and FreshRSS. Vienna has been downloaded more than 450,000 times from SourceForge alone. It is completely free with no ads or subscriptions. The trade-offs are that it runs only on macOS, with no iPhone companion, and its interface looks more traditional than newer Mac readers.
Best for: Mac users who want a free, configurable traditional three-pane reader.
