About Working Copy

Working Copy is the best-known Git client for iOS and iPadOS, made by indie developer Anders Borum. It clones repositories over HTTPS or SSH from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit or any server, and lets you browse history, view diffs, edit text and code with syntax highlighting, preview Markdown and commit changes on the device. Its integration with the iOS Files app and document providers means other apps, such as Markdown editors or design tools, can open and save files inside a repository, which makes it popular for writing, note syncing and static-site publishing as well as code. The app is a free download, but pushing to a remote and many advanced features, including SSH keys in the Secure Enclave, pull-request creation, rebase and stashing, require a one-time Pro purchase that also includes a year of new pro features. A Mac version has been announced but was not released at the time of writing.

Best for: iPhone and iPad users who edit, commit and push to Git repositories on the go.
