About Zoho Expense
Zoho Expense handles employee spending: receipt capture with OCR, expense reports, per diems, GPS mileage, corporate card reconciliation, approval workflows, policy rules and reimbursements, with travel booking on higher plans. It syncs naturally with Zoho Books and Zoho Payroll, and also connects to QuickBooks, Xero and other accounting systems. The free plan supports up to three users, which covers a founder and a couple of staff; paid plans are priced per user per month and are cheaper billed annually. Zoho has added AI features for audit checks and report drafting under its Zia brand. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. Compared with card-led platforms such as Ramp or Brex, it is a software layer rather than a card program, which makes it usable outside the US and with whatever cards you already have, but you do not get spend controls at the card level unless you use Zoho's prepaid card where it is offered.
Best for: Small and mid-sized teams that want low-cost expense reports, especially Zoho users.
