About AdBlock

AdBlock is a long-running browser extension created in 2009 and used by tens of millions of people. It blocks pop-ups, banners, video ads (including on YouTube and Twitch) and third-party trackers, and works on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, with mobile apps for iOS and Android. Setup needs no account or configuration. Like its sister product Adblock Plus, it participates in the Acceptable Ads programme and shows non-intrusive ads by default, which you can turn off. The core extension is free and open source under GPLv3. AdBlock Premium, sold monthly or yearly, adds cookie-banner and distraction blocking, an image-swap feature that replaces ads with pictures and an included VPN. It is a good fit for people who want something friendly that just works; power users usually find uBlock Origin more capable and transparent.

Best for: Casual users who want an easy blocker with optional paid extras.
