About Adminer
Adminer is a web-based database management tool shipped as a single PHP file. You drop it onto a server that runs PHP, open it in a browser and log into MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server or Oracle, with more systems available through plugins. It lets you browse and edit tables, run SQL, design tables, manage indexes, foreign keys, views, triggers and users, and import and export data. Compared with phpMyAdmin it is far smaller, supports more database engines and emphasises security; the author treats security as the top priority. Skins and plugins customise its look and features, and a companion Adminer Editor offers a simpler data-editing interface for end users. It is free for commercial and non-commercial use under the Apache License or GPL 2, and community packages exist for Docker and other platforms. Because it runs on a web server, it must be protected carefully and is best removed or locked down when not in use.
Best for: Developers who need quick browser access to a database on a PHP server.
