About pgweb

pgweb is a small open-source tool for exploring PostgreSQL databases through a web browser. It is written in Go and distributed as a single binary with no dependencies, so you can download it, point it at a database URL and open the interface in your browser, or run it on a server or in Docker for others to use. The interface lets you browse tables and views, see structure and indexes, run SQL queries, view query history and explain output, and export results as CSV, JSON or XML. It supports SSH tunnels and multiple sessions, and it works on macOS, Linux and Windows. pgweb is free under the MIT licence. It is deliberately minimal, with no data editing grid, no schema design and only PostgreSQL support, so it suits quick inspection of a database on a remote machine, demos, or giving read-mostly access, rather than daily development.

Best for: Developers who need quick browser access to a Postgres database.
