About Adobe Bridge

Adobe Bridge is a desktop file browser built for creative work. It shows thumbnails and previews for photos and for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects files, and lets you sort them with ratings, colour labels, keywords and editable metadata. Collections, filters and metadata search help find files across large folders. Photographers can import from cameras with the Photo Downloader, renaming or converting to DNG on the way in, then open raw files in Adobe Camera Raw or Photoshop. Batch renaming and batch export, PDF contact sheets and publishing to Adobe Stock round it out. Unlike a catalog-based app such as Lightroom, Bridge works directly on your folders, so nothing is imported into a database. It's a free download for Windows and Mac and fits best for people already using Creative Cloud apps; its editing is handed off to those apps rather than built in. There's no cloud sync of your library or mobile app.

Best for: Creative Cloud users who want to browse, rate and batch-process large folders of assets.
