About Peakto
Peakto, from the French developer Cyme, is a Mac app that pulls photos and videos from many sources into one searchable view: Lightroom Classic catalogues, Capture One sessions, Apple Photos, Luminar and plain folders on any drive. Instead of importing files, it reads them where they are, including edits and metadata, so photographers who have moved between editors over the years can find anything without migrating. Local AI analysis adds search by content, people recognition and smart albums across all sources, and processing stays on your Mac for privacy. It is aimed at photographers and videographers with large, scattered archives. It runs only on macOS and is sold as paid software. It does not store or back up your files, offer mobile apps or edit images, so it complements rather than replaces your editor and backup.
Best for: Mac photographers with archives spread across several editors and drives.
