About Better Stack
Better Stack combines several tools small and mid-sized teams usually buy separately. Its uptime product checks websites, APIs, cron jobs and ports from multiple regions, and alerts by Slack, email, SMS or phone call through built-in on-call scheduling and escalation. Branded status pages update from those monitors automatically. The telemetry side, formerly Logtail, adds log management, metrics, traces and Sentry-compatible error tracking, stored on ClickHouse and queried with SQL or a visual builder. The interface is clean and quick to set up, which is a big part of its appeal compared with stitching together Pingdom, PagerDuty, Statuspage and a log tool. The free plan covers personal projects with a handful of monitors and a status page; paid plans add responders, more monitors and telemetry volume, and there is a money-back guarantee rather than a long trial. It is a hosted web service with mobile apps for on-call.
