About Casdoor
Casdoor is an open-source identity and access management platform with a web admin UI, written in Go with a React front end. It acts as an OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, CAS and LDAP server, supports WebAuthn, TOTP and other MFA, and connects to a long list of social and enterprise identity providers, including many Chinese platforms that Western services often lack. Organisations, applications, roles and permissions are managed in the UI, and syncers can import users from databases, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Okta and others. Recent releases emphasise authentication for AI agents and an MCP server. It is Apache 2.0 licensed and free to self-host, and a hosted Casdoor Cloud offers a dedicated instance for a flat monthly fee with no per-user charges. It is lighter to run than Keycloak, but documentation quality varies and the large surface area means some features are less polished.
Best for: Teams that want a light self-hosted SSO server with many social and regional providers.
