About Chartbeat
Chartbeat is a content analytics platform designed for news organisations and publishers rather than general websites. Its real-time dashboard shows concurrent readers, engaged time, scroll depth, referral traffic and recirculation for every story, and a Heads Up Display overlays performance directly on the homepage, so editors can see which stories and placements work. Historical dashboards cover 13 months of engagement trends, and other tools add headline and image testing, recommendation widgets, conversion tracking for registrations and subscriptions, real-time alerts and benchmarking against other publishers in its network. It is used by many large newsrooms around the world. Pricing is quote-based through sales, with no public prices or free plan. The trade-offs are that it is focused narrowly on editorial use and is expensive for small sites, and it is not a replacement for full marketing analytics such as ecommerce funnels. It runs in the browser.
Best for: News publishers and editorial teams optimising stories in real time.
