About Coda (Superhuman Docs)

Coda is a doc editor where pages can hold connected tables, formulas, buttons and automations, so a team can turn a document into a tracker, roadmap or small internal app without code. Tables link to each other and can be shown as different views on different pages, and Packs connect the doc to tools like Slack, Jira, Google Calendar and Figma to pull data in or push updates out. It also has an AI assistant and AI columns, publishing to the web, an API, and mobile apps. The product is now being renamed Superhuman Docs, according to its own site, and the coda.io address still works. It has a free plan; paid plans charge for doc makers while editors who only use docs are free, which keeps costs down for large teams. It is aimed at product, operations and planning teams that have outgrown spreadsheets but want something more structured than a plain wiki.

Best for: Teams that want docs, trackers and lightweight internal apps in one shared workspace.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Tables, formulas and buttons live inside ordinary docs
  • 600+ integrations through Packs
  • Pricing charges doc makers, not everyone who edits

Why people leave

  • Formula language and Packs take time to learn
  • Large docs with many tables can get slow
  • No self-hosting or offline desktop app
  • Ongoing rename to Superhuman Docs may change plans and branding
