About Commerce Layer

Commerce Layer is a headless commerce platform delivered as SaaS. It provides APIs and hosted components for carts, checkout, pricing, inventory across multiple markets, promotions, order management and point of sale, which developers attach to any frontend, CMS or existing site. It is designed for brands selling internationally that want separate markets, currencies and stock locations without running backend infrastructure. A free developer plan with limited live orders lets you build and launch small projects, and larger plans are quoted by order volume. Compared with Shopify or BigCommerce, there is no theme or page builder, so you need developers and a CMS for the storefront. There is no on-premise version. It runs in the cloud.
