About Convertio
Convertio is a browser-based converter: drop in a file, pick an output format and download the result, with conversions running on its servers rather than your computer. It covers documents, images, audio, video, presentations, ebooks, archives and fonts, and many conversions expose options such as video codec, quality and aspect ratio. Alongside conversion it offers OCR and a growing set of web tools for video, including trimming, compression, subtitles and text to speech. Uploaded files are deleted straight away and outputs after 24 hours. A free tier is open to anyone; paid plans are monthly or annual subscriptions measured in conversion credits, with bigger file sizes, more parallel conversions and higher queue priority, and refunds are not offered once you upgrade. A REST API and command-line tool let developers automate it. It suits people converting the odd file on any device; bulk or sensitive work may be better done offline.
