About CloudConvert
CloudConvert is a file conversion service from Lunaweb GmbH in Munich, running since 2012. Through the website you can convert documents, images, audio, video, spreadsheets, slides, ebooks, archives, vector, CAD and font files, with per-conversion controls for codec, bitrate, resolution and quality. It uses a mix of open-source converters and licensed engines, including partner technology for PDF to Office conversion. Most of its traffic comes through its API, which chains import, convert and export tasks and connects to storage such as Amazon S3, so it is popular with developers who need conversions inside their own apps. Files are deleted after processing. The free tier allows 10 conversions a day for personal use; beyond that you buy one-off credit packages that never expire or cheaper monthly subscriptions, with enterprise contracts for large volumes. Prices are shown in euros. It suits both occasional users and developers; offline or highly confidential work is better done locally.
