About Dext
Dext, formerly Receipt Bank, is a bookkeeping automation tool used by small businesses and, above all, by accounting and bookkeeping firms. Users photograph, email or upload receipts, supplier invoices and statements; Dext extracts the data, categorises it and publishes it to accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage, with approval and payment workflows on top. Line-item extraction, bank statement extraction and supplier statement checks use credits included with the plan, and more can be bought. Pricing is a subscription based on document volume and users, varies by region and is cheaper billed annually; a free trial is available. It runs in the browser with iOS and Android apps. It does not replace your accounting system, and for a business with a handful of receipts a month, the capture features inside QuickBooks or Xero may be enough.
Best for: Bookkeepers and businesses with lots of receipts and supplier invoices to process.
