About Dhan
Dhan is a Mumbai-based stock broker, run by Raise Securities, whose apps and web platform cover Indian stocks, futures and options, commodities, ETFs, direct mutual funds, IPOs and US stocks. It leans towards active traders: there is a separate Options Trader app and web platform, a desktop-style trading terminal, order types for scalping and large orders, and TradingView charts you can trade from directly. Developers and algo traders get the DhanHQ trading APIs at no extra charge. Long-term investors get stock and mutual fund SIPs, dividend tracking and smallcase portfolios. Account opening and annual maintenance are free, equity delivery trades carry no brokerage, and intraday, futures and options orders cost a flat fee per order plus statutory charges. Margin trading and US stocks (fractional, from small amounts) are extra services with their own costs. Dhan says it doesn't make sales calls or give tips. It runs on Android, iOS and the web, and is only for Indian residents with a PAN.
Best for: Indian F&O and intraday traders who want TradingView charts, fast order tools and free APIs.
