About ICICI Direct

ICICI Direct is the online broking platform of ICICI Securities, part of the ICICI group. Its main draw is the 3-in-1 account, which links an ICICI Bank savings account to trading and demat accounts so you can invest straight from your bank balance without moving money around. From one login you can buy Indian stocks, IPOs, mutual funds and SIPs, ETFs, bonds, fixed deposits, NPS, futures and options and commodities, and there is margin trading funding for leveraged positions. The broker publishes in-house research with short, medium and long-term picks, and developers can trade through its Breeze API. It runs on the web and through mobile apps for Android and iPhone. Brokerage depends on the plan you choose, with lower rates on prepaid Prime plans; it generally costs more than discount brokers like Zerodha or Groww, so it suits investors who value the bank tie-in and research over the lowest fees.

Best for: ICICI Bank customers in India who want trading linked directly to their savings account.
