About Kotak Neo
Kotak Neo is the retail trading platform of Kotak Securities, the broking arm of the Kotak Mahindra group. It covers the usual Indian investing products in one account: equity delivery and intraday, futures and options, commodities, ETFs, mutual funds, IPOs and bonds. It runs as a mobile app and on the web, and active traders can use the Nest trading terminal or connect their own code through free trading APIs. Pricing is split into plans: a free plan with flat per-order brokerage on intraday and F&O trades and a percentage on delivery, a cheaper-delivery plan for traders who use margin trading, and a youth plan for people under 30 with no delivery brokerage after a one-time fee. New accounts get a brokerage-free introductory period. Being part of a large bank appeals to people who want their demat, trading and savings accounts with one group, though the plan structure takes a little more reading than discount brokers with a single flat fee.
Best for: Indian investors and F&O traders who want a bank-backed broker with free APIs..
