About DuckDuckGo Browser

DuckDuckGo's browser bundles the company's privacy tools into a simple app. It uses DuckDuckGo search by default, blocks third-party trackers from big ad networks, blocks most ads and cookie consent pop-ups, and can play YouTube videos without targeted ads through Duck Player. The Fire Button wipes tabs and browsing data in one tap. It also includes a password manager, email tracker protection through Duck addresses, and optional private access to popular AI chatbots. A paid subscription adds a VPN, personal information removal and identity theft restoration in some countries. On Apple platforms it uses WebKit and on Windows it uses the system's Chromium-based WebView, so it is lighter on features than Chrome or Firefox and supports few extensions. The iOS and macOS apps are open source. It is free and runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. It suits people who want privacy protection without configuring anything.

Best for: People who want strong privacy defaults with zero setup.
