About EveryDollar
EveryDollar is the zero-based budgeting app from Ramsey Solutions, the company behind Dave Ramsey's radio show and the "7 Baby Steps" debt plan. Each month you plan where every dollar goes before you spend it, so income minus planned spending equals zero, using unlimited custom categories for giving, saving and spending. The free version, which you can use indefinitely, covers the monthly budget, manual transaction entry, sinking funds and split transactions, on the web and on phones. Premium adds bank connect, which pulls transactions into the budget through Mastercard Connect and Plaid, a debt payoff tracker built around the debt snowball (smallest balance first), personalized recommendations, and one-on-one and group coaching plus weekly live trainings. Premium has a 14-day trial for new users, then costs $79.99 a year or $17.99 a month. A household feature lets two people share one budget with separate logins. It suits people who follow, or are open to, the Ramsey approach to debt and budgeting. The trade-off is that the free version is entirely manual, the monthly premium price is high compared with paying yearly, and the app sits inside the wider Ramsey ecosystem, which promotes its own courses, books and services.
Best for: People following the Ramsey debt snowball who want a simple monthly zero-based plan.
