About Fluent Reader
Fluent Reader is a cross-platform desktop news reader with a clean interface in Microsoft's Fluent design style, built with Electron and React. You can read locally by importing an OPML file, or stay in sync with Inoreader, Feedbin, or any service compatible with the Fever or Google Reader APIs. Sources can be grouped, and full data backups make moving between computers easy. For feeds that only include snippets, it can load full content through a parser, show the web page in the app or open it externally. Search and filtering support regular expressions across titles and full text, and rules can mark, star or hide articles as they arrive. It clears cookies on exit, blocks scripts in an isolated context and collects no personal information. It is free and open source under the BSD licence, with builds for Windows, macOS and Linux, plus a separate mobile app. Development is mostly by one maintainer, so updates arrive irregularly.
Best for: Desktop users, especially on Windows, who want a modern free RSS app.
