About Jules
Jules is an autonomous coding agent from Google Labs. You pick a GitHub repository and branch, describe a task such as fixing a bug, bumping dependencies, writing tests or building a feature, and Jules clones the repo into a cloud VM, writes a plan for you to approve, makes the changes and returns a diff you can turn into a pull request. You can also assign work by adding a jules label to a GitHub issue, schedule recurring tasks, accept suggested tasks, or drive it from the Jules Tools CLI and a REST API. It runs asynchronously, so you can leave while it works and get notified when it's done. It uses Google's Gemini models. There is a free plan with a daily task limit, and higher limits come with the Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions; paid plans are currently limited to personal Google accounts. It suits developers on GitHub who want to hand off routine chores in the background.
Best for: GitHub users who want to offload routine coding chores to a background agent.
