About Junie

Junie is the coding agent made by JetBrains, the company behind IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm and WebStorm. It plans and carries out multi-step tasks such as adding features, writing tests and upgrading frameworks, using the IDE's own code understanding, inspections and test runners, and it shows its plan and changes for review. It also runs as a CLI in any terminal and from GitHub and GitLab, and can work asynchronously while you check progress on the web or a phone. JetBrains has folded Junie into JetBrains Air, a wider system for running its own and third-party agents. Junie Lite gives every JetBrains account a free model with no trial or card, and you can bring your own API key at provider rates. Heavier use comes through the JetBrains AI Pro and AI Ultimate subscriptions, which provide monthly cloud credits; AI Pro is also bundled with the All Products Pack. It suits developers already working in JetBrains IDEs.
