About Kissflow

Kissflow is a low-code and no-code platform aimed at enterprises that want business teams and IT to build operational apps together. Typical uses are approval chains, procurement, vendor portals, claims handling and other form-and-workflow processes that would otherwise live in email and spreadsheets. Apps are assembled from forms, boards, dashboards and reports, and newer AI features let a builder describe an app in plain language and get a working draft to refine. A governance layer gives IT a view of every app, who owns it and who can access it, which is the main pitch against ungoverned no-code tools. Kissflow sells on custom annual contracts that bundle implementation help, and there is no public price list or self-serve plan, so it suits mid-size and large companies more than small teams. It runs in the browser, with public or private cloud hosting.

Best for: Enterprises digitising approval-heavy processes with business users building apps under IT governance.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Business users can build form and approval apps without code
  • Central governance view of apps, owners and access for IT
  • No extra charges for AI or API usage under its contracts
  • Implementation and training help are bundled into deals

Why people leave

  • No public prices or self-serve plan; every deal goes through sales
  • Fixed annual agreements make it a poor fit for small teams
  • Less flexible than code-first builders like Retool for custom UIs
