About Kommit
Kommit is a Git GUI developed within the KDE community for the Plasma desktop on Linux. It provides the familiar set of views: a history log with branch graph, branches, remotes, tags and stashes, a changes view for staging and committing, and built-in diff and merge tools that can also be used on their own to compare files and folders. It uses KDE's frameworks, so it follows Plasma's look, shortcuts and theme. It is free software under the GPL-3.0 or later and is available through Linux distributions and Flathub. Kommit is a fairly young project with modest release activity, so it lacks some advanced features and polish found in older clients, and it is effectively a Linux-only app. It is a sensible pick for KDE users who want a native client rather than an Electron or Java app.
Best for: KDE Plasma users who want a native Git GUI.
