About Neogit

Neogit brings the Magit workflow to Neovim. It opens a status buffer with collapsible sections for untracked, unstaged and staged changes, recent commits and stashes, and pop-up menus for committing, branching, rebasing, merging, pushing, pulling and more, with the same mnemonic keys Magit users know. You can stage files, hunks or individual lines, and it integrates with diff plugins such as diffview.nvim for reviewing changes side by side. Configuration is done in Lua, and it installs through any Neovim plugin manager. It is free and open source under the MIT licence and runs wherever Neovim does: Linux, macOS and Windows. Neogit is a community project that has not matched Magit's full feature set and occasionally changes behaviour between versions, so it is best for Neovim users who want an interactive Git interface rather than Fugitive's command-first approach and are comfortable configuring plugins.

Best for: Neovim users who want a Magit-style Git workflow in their editor.
