About OkCredit
OkCredit replaces the paper bahi khata that many Indian shops use to record goods sold on credit. A shopkeeper adds customers from their phone contacts, logs each credit or payment in a few taps, and the app keeps a running balance per customer. Customers get an SMS for each entry and can be sent reminders over SMS or WhatsApp with a UPI link, so they can pay through GPay, PhonePe or Paytm and the ledger updates. It works offline, backs entries up online, runs in 11 Indian languages and can also be used from a web browser at the counter. The basic plan is free with unlimited customers and entries; paid premium plans remove ads and add multi-device use, GST billing and more SMS reminders. It is aimed squarely at small Indian retailers such as kirana, pharmacy and hardware stores rather than at businesses that need full double-entry accounting.
Best for: Indian shopkeepers who sell on credit and want to replace a paper khata with a phone app.
