About ProRealTime

ProRealTime is a technical analysis and trading platform run by ProRealTime SAS, a French investment firm. It comes in three forms: ProRealTime Web in the browser, ProRealTime Complete as a desktop install, and a mobile app. The web version is free and ad-free; Complete is free with end-of-day data, and the paid Complete and Premium plans unlock real-time features, more charts, deeper history and more alerts. Charting covers 100+ indicators, automatic trend and support lines, market replay, custom indicators and the ProScreener real-time market scanner. Traders who want to act on their analysis can place orders straight from charts, write strategies in the platform's own language, backtest them and run them automatically, either with ProRealTime's own brokerage or through partner brokers such as Interactive Brokers, Saxo and IG. It suits European active traders and futures or forex day traders who want exchange data and order flow tools in one package. Real-time data for extra exchanges is sold as add-ons, so the final monthly cost depends on which markets you follow.

Best for: European active traders who want pro charting, backtesting and automated trading in one platform.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Free web version with all core charting tools and no ads
  • Backtesting, market replay and automated trading built in
  • Trade from charts via its own brokerage or IG, Saxo and Interactive Brokers
  • Real-time ProScreener scans whole markets

Why people leave

  • Real-time data for many exchanges costs extra each month
  • Strategy code uses its own language, not Python or Pine Script
  • Smaller social and idea-sharing community than TradingView
