About Shift

Shift is a Chromium-based desktop app that combines a browser with an app organiser. You add mail accounts, calendars, chat tools and other web apps to a sidebar, group them into Spaces, and switch between multiple accounts of the same service without signing out. It includes unified search across apps, a browser builder with templates for setting up your layout, a built-in ad blocker and Shift AI features. The free plan covers a limited number of spaces and apps per space, while the paid Advanced plan unlocks unlimited setups, more AI usage and extras such as YouTube ad blocking; team plans are available too. Because it runs many web apps at once, it can be heavy on memory. It is available for Windows and macOS. It suits people managing several inboxes and work tools who want them in one place without dozens of browser tabs.

Best for: People managing several inboxes and work apps who want one organised window.
