About Tiny Tiny RSS

Tiny Tiny RSS, usually called tt-rss, is a free and open-source web-based feed reader and aggregator that you run on your own server. It has been around since the mid-2000s and is known for flexibility: feeds can be organised in nested folders, filtered and scored with rules, deduplicated (including near-identical images), and extended with plugins and themes. It can embed full article content through readability and site-specific plugins, play podcasts, send email digests, generate feeds from your own selections and share items in several ways. A JSON API lets mobile clients and desktop apps such as Liferea and Fiery Feeds connect to it. Installation is designed around Docker, and the project follows a continuous development model on GitHub, licensed under the GPLv3. It is free, but there is no hosted version, and setup and upkeep require some comfort with servers.

Best for: Self-hosters who want deep filtering and plugins in a mature web reader.
