About Upsun

Upsun is the platform previously known as Platform.sh, which renamed its flexible, usage-based offering Upsun. It hosts applications in PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, Go and more, together with services such as databases, caches and search, all defined in configuration files in your repository. Its signature feature is that every Git branch can get a complete clone of production, including the data in its services, so teams can test changes against realistic copies before merging. Builds are reproducible, deployments are Git-driven, and observability tools are built in. It is particularly popular with agencies and companies running Drupal, Symfony, Magento, WordPress and other content-heavy PHP sites, as well as multi-app projects. Pricing is resource-based with a free trial on its cloud and no card required, and it runs on infrastructure from several major cloud providers with regions in Europe and elsewhere. Configuration is powerful but more involved than one-click platforms.
