About Coolify

Coolify turns your own servers into a Heroku- or Netlify-style platform. You install it on a VPS or bare-metal machine, connect more servers over SSH, and then deploy applications from Git repositories, Dockerfiles or Docker Compose files, with automatic HTTPS, preview deployments for pull requests, webhooks and rollbacks. It can also provision databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis with scheduled backups to S3, and offers hundreds of one-click services like Plausible, n8n and Supabase. The software is open source under Apache 2.0 and free to self-host with no feature limits; Coolify Cloud is a paid hosted control panel that manages your servers for a small monthly fee per server. Coolify is popular with indie developers who want predictable costs on providers like Hetzner. The trade-off is that you are responsible for the servers, their security and uptime, and the project is maintained by a small team.

Best for: Indie developers who want a Vercel or Heroku workflow on cheap servers they control.
