About Authgear

Authgear is a customer identity platform aimed at consumer, mobile and frontline-worker apps. It offers passkeys, biometrics, social login, passwordless email, SMS and WhatsApp one-time codes, MFA, SAML SSO and role-based access control, with a hosted login UI you can brand and SDKs for web, iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter. The server is open source under Apache 2.0 and can run on Authgear's cloud, in your own cloud account or on your own hardware, which appeals to companies with data sovereignty requirements. Cloud plans do not charge per user at the lower tiers: the free plan and the developer plan include unlimited monthly active users, with paid tiers adding messaging, apps, seats, log retention and support. Authgear is based in Hong Kong and popular in Asia. It is a smaller player, so expect fewer third-party integrations than the big vendors.

Best for: Consumer and mobile apps that want passkeys and WhatsApp OTP without per-user fees.
