About Backblaze Computer Backup

Backblaze Computer Backup backs up everything on a Mac or Windows PC, including attached external drives, to Backblaze's data centres for a flat fee per computer with no storage cap. Once installed it runs continuously in the background, chooses what to back up automatically and throttles itself to avoid slowing the machine. Restores can be downloaded through the web, or Backblaze will ship a USB drive with your data that you can return for a refund. Old versions and deleted files are kept for 30 days by default, with paid options to extend retention to a year or indefinitely. It is a backup service, not a sync folder: you cannot edit files in the cloud or share folders with collaborators. Plans are billed monthly, yearly or every two years, with a free trial. There is no Linux client, and mobile apps are only for viewing backed-up files.

Best for: Anyone who wants a no-thought, unlimited offsite backup of one computer.
