About Dynatrace

Dynatrace targets large organisations running complex, hybrid estates. A single agent, OneAgent, installs on hosts and automatically discovers processes, services and their dependencies, building a live topology map that its AI engine uses to group related problems and point at a likely root cause instead of firing dozens of separate alerts. On top of that sit APM, infrastructure and Kubernetes monitoring, log analytics, real user monitoring, synthetics, application security and business analytics. The automation saves a lot of manual dashboard and alert work, but the platform is large and its terminology takes time to learn, and it is priced for enterprises. Pricing is consumption-based, billed per host-hour, per GiB of data and per container, with no per-seat fees, and there is a free trial. It is offered as SaaS, with a managed option for customers who need to run it in their own environment.

Best for: Large enterprises with sprawling hybrid infrastructure that want automated problem detection.
