About Elmedia Player

Elmedia Player is a macOS media player that plays most common video and audio formats without extra codecs and adds strong streaming features. It can send what you're watching to Apple TV, smart TVs, Chromecast and Android TV, Roku and other AirPlay or DLNA devices, which is its main selling point. Playback features include hardware acceleration, preview thumbnails, playback speed control, external audio tracks and detailed subtitle handling with online subtitle search and custom styling. The free version covers basic playback; the PRO version, a paid upgrade, unlocks streaming options, playlist tools and extra controls. It runs on macOS only and is closed source. It suits Mac users who regularly push video to a TV.

Best for: Mac users who want to stream local videos to Apple TV, Chromecast or a smart TV.
