About GOM Player

GOM Player is a free media player from the Korean company GOM & Company (Gretech). It plays more than 100 video and audio formats, and when a file needs a missing codec its codec finder points you to one. It has a large subtitle library with sync and resizing tools, AI subtitle generation and translation, 360° VR video playback, A-B repeat for chosen intervals and several skins. Versions exist for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. The free edition shows ads; GOM Player Plus is a paid, ad-free version with extra features. It suits people who watch foreign-language content and want easy subtitle tools, but the ads and bundled offers in the installer put off some users, and it is closed source.

Best for: Viewers who rely on subtitles and want an easy free player with a codec finder.
