About Haruna
Haruna is a video player developed under the KDE umbrella that uses libmpv for playback. It fits naturally on the Plasma desktop and adds conveniences on top of mpv: an automatic playlist built from the other files in the same folder, thumbnail previews when hovering the seek bar, configurable keyboard shortcuts and mouse button actions, chapter skipping by keyword, and the ability to run custom mpv commands. It plays online videos through yt-dlp, including YouTube playlists, and supports theming with KDE colour schemes. It is free and open source, available in most Linux distributions' software stores and as a Flatpak on Flathub. It is a good pick for KDE users who want something more featured than Celluloid while keeping mpv's quality.
Best for: KDE Plasma users who want an mpv-based player with handy playlist and shortcut features.
