About Koko Analytics

Koko Analytics is a lightweight analytics plugin for WordPress from ibericode, the Dutch developers behind the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin. It records visitors, pageviews, referrers and top pages directly in your WordPress database, with no external services or third-party tracking, and can run without cookies, so there is nothing to add to a privacy policy beyond your own site. Data is aggregated rather than stored per visitor, which keeps the database small and the plugin fast even on busy sites. The free plugin covers the core stats; Koko Analytics Pro is a yearly licence priced per number of sites that adds geolocation, device and event tracking, email reports and priority support. It suits bloggers, small business sites and agencies on WordPress that want simple stats without Google. The trade-offs are that it only works with WordPress, reports are basic, and very high traffic can still add load to your own server. Pro prices are in euros.

Best for: WordPress site owners who want private stats stored on their own site.
