About Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse
Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse is the current name for Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, the analytics flavour of Oracle's managed Autonomous AI Database. Oracle presents it as the next generation of the old service: it keeps the warehouse features and adds tighter integration with Apache Iceberg and other open data formats. As with the rest of the Autonomous family, Oracle handles provisioning, backups, patching, upgrades and scaling of compute and storage, so there is no database administration to do. It is built on Oracle Database, so existing Oracle SQL, tools and skills carry over, and it bundles Oracle APEX, REST data services, machine learning notebooks and vector search. You can run it serverless on Oracle Cloud, on dedicated Exadata infrastructure, or in your own data centre with Exadata Cloud@Customer. Pricing is pay-per-use, and Oracle's Always Free tier includes two small Autonomous AI Databases. It mainly suits organisations already invested in Oracle.
Best for: Oracle shops that want a managed analytics warehouse without running database administration.
