About Paytm Money

Paytm Money is the investing arm of Paytm, offering a demat and trading account for Indian stocks, futures and options, ETFs and IPOs, alongside direct mutual funds and the National Pension System (NPS). It started out as a mutual fund app, and that side remains a strength: buying and redeeming direct funds carries no transaction fee, and SIPs can run on an auto-pay mandate. For stocks it offers stock SIPs, GTT and basket orders, margin trading (sold as Pay Later) and portfolio insights. Opening an account is free and there is no annual maintenance charge, new users get a short brokerage-free period with a cap, and after that trades are charged per order. Being part of the Paytm group makes it a natural pick for people who already use Paytm for payments, though it doesn't offer US stocks. It runs on Android, iOS and the web.

Best for: Paytm users in India who want mutual funds, stocks and NPS in one app.
